I am pleased to report that the GWSR Board has approved the appointment of Bill Britton as Head of Department in charge of the rebuilding of Broadway Station. Bill has headed the team rebuilding the platforms and with work in progress on the signal box and due to start next year on the station buildings, he has agreed to also take on the responsibility for the planning application and construction management for the required car park and access road upgrade.
Congratulations to Bill and we ask everyone to support him in his widened role of looking after all aspects of the rebuilding of Broadway Station. His blog site is widely read and has been an excellent record of progress.

Congratulations Bill. Your appointment helps give us confidence that the Board makes appropriate decisions.

Isn't this blog getting a bit stale? Surely something must be worth reporting on.
ReplyDeleteIt needs someone who does it regularly like Malcolm used to as well as the occasional inputs from other directors. At the moment all we're getting is the occasional inputs. I'm sure they must all be very busy, but 10 minutes a week or so from someone can't be too hard surely? It was a great idea, I think really helped with communication from the board.
ReplyDeleteI agree, there must be something worth reporting in the last 4 weeks or will we have to wait until the board want money from us for the next project
ReplyDeleteI thought this blog was a great idea and if the board were to realise what good PR it is, perhaps we could enjoy more reports.
ReplyDeleteany chance of a reply from the board, because its a good way of keeping shareholders informed what,s going on, how close are we to bridges total as 3 weeks to go doesn,t mean alot alan
ReplyDeleteSee the latest news section as there's an article about it:

According to Steam Railway Mag we achieved £500,000. Much better if the board had said so.
