The TV programme that features a short segment about the GWR will be broadcast Wednesday January 15th at 15:45 on BBC1. I think we get 3 minutes on the programme - it took them all day to film late last summer!

Caught this footage at the Gym. Someone asked me to switch the wall TV to BBC1 and I was amazed to be confronted by John Cruxon driving on our line. Great publicity.
Prehaps the London comment was an oblique reference to our potentially (albiet someway off in the future) obtaining a mainline connection at Honeybourne. Thence to Paddington via a turnaround at Worcester.
Ask for the footage from the cutting room floor. It's always interesting to view the discarded images.
ReplyDeleteI have done and they won't. It compromises their integrity or something!

DeleteYes - where on earth did he get the idea we are going to get to London. Picture the scene in a busy rush hour steaming into Paddington!!!!!
